In her new collection of mirrors, Ms. Jurek explores ceramics and the reflective potential of mirrored surfaces. Inspired by the ripple effect on water, the sculptural frames mimic the expanding circles that appear when splashed. The ceramic pieces are hand-glazed with airbrush, giving them a unique, artisanal feel. The name “ELO” is a playful reference to Polish slang meaning “hello,” referring to the greeting between you and your reflection in the mirror.
